About Us

What matters the most?

At the heart of a high-quality ADHD assessment are three things: clarity, accuracy and compassionate care.

At ADHD Trainer UK, we support healthcare professionals to develop the knowledge, confidence and clinical judgement needed to carry out thorough, evidence-informed and person-centred ADHD diagnostic assessments.

We believe ADHD assessment is more than identifying symptoms. It is about understanding the whole person, recognising the impact on their life, and reaching careful, accurate diagnostic decisions that lead to the right support.

Our Story

ADHD Trainer grew from years of clinical practice in psychiatry and more than a decade of experience in ADHD assessment and management in the UK.

Working alongside psychiatrists, GPs, paediatricians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, crisis teams and clinicians in training highlighted one important lesson: ADHD assessment is a specialist clinical skill – a professional title alone does not guarantee expertise.

Confidence and competence develop through focused training, supervision, practical experience and continued reflection.

As demand for ADHD assessment increased, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, so did pressure across NHS and independent services. At the same time, considerable variation became apparent in how assessments were conducted, documented and concluded. This reinforced the need for a practical, structured approach to ADHD assessment.

ADHD Trainer brings together clinical knowledge, real-world learning, reflective practice and a clear, easy-to-follow framework, guided by UK standards, NICE recommendations and established best practice.

Our aim is simple:

To help healthcare professionals deliver quality ADHD assessment and safe management with greater confidence, consistency and clinical accuracy. Because a good ADHD assessment is not simply about identifying symptoms. It is about understanding the whole person, recognising complexity and reaching a clear, considered and well-supported clinical conclusion.
